Solar PV panels on new build property in Sheffield

Campbell Homes, New Build Site, Sheffield

Eight domestic 1.5kWp flat roof Solar PV Arrays
Based in Walkley, Sheffield, this new build estate required a small solar PV array fitted to each property via the detached flat roof garages opposite. Homeco Energy sized the required system to meet the planning requirements whilst sourcing the mounting system in order to fit in with landscape. Fitted and supplied on behalf of Campbell Homes, the site will generate around 10,000kWh’s of electricity per year, saving around 4.3 tonnes of C02 per year.  

Great Bear Distribution Hub, Markham Vale

50kWp Commercial Solar PV array
Forming part of their new distribution hub at the Markham Vale Enterprise zone, this 50kW solar PV array will generate around 45,000kWh’s of electricity per year, with all of it being utilised on site. This will save the company around £5,500 in electricity per year whilst earning a Feed in Tariff payment of around £1,900 per year.  
Based at Junction 29A of the M1 you can see this system as you drive by on the motorway!

25kWp Commercial Solar PV Array
Utilising LG Mono X 300 watt modules, SolarEdge Optimisation and metering, this 25kW solar PV array saves this local business around 20,000kWh’s of electricity per year, equating to around 9 tonnes of C02. The SolarEdge modbus meter allows Lembas to see where their self consumption levels, import and export. This allows them to tailor their usage to maximise their energy savings even further.  

Can Pack Distribution Centre, Scunthorpe

Commercial 27kWp Solar PV Array
This 27kWp Solar PV is situated above the main distribution entrance, forming part of an extension to the original building. Working in conjunction with Lilleker’s M&E company, Homeco Energy supplied and fitted this Solar PV system to meet the energy requirements set out in the design specification. Generating around 23,000kWh’s per year in electricity, this will save the client around £2,700 a year in electric and around 10 tonnes of C02 per year.

Swinton Primary School, Rotherham Council

Commercial 50kW Solar PV Array
Homeco Energy worked alongside the Sheffield Renewables Community Energy group to supply and fit this 50kW solar PV array to this local primary school. Generating around 41,000kWh’s of electricity per year this system saves around 18 tonnes of C02 per year whilst helping to teach the pupils about the benefits of renewable energy. There is a large public display screen in the reception area, allowing teachers, pupils, parents and visitors to see how much energy the system has and currently is generating.

Sheffield College – Sheffield City Council

30kWp Commercial Solar PV Array
A recent extension to the Hillsborough College, Sheffield saw the building of a performing arts centre. Homeco Energy designed, supplied and fitted a 30kWp flat roof solar PV system to meet the relevant energy requirements for the project utilising a Renusol flat roof mounting system and LG Mono X solar modules. Working in conjunction with the M&E contractor HE Barnes, as well as the main contractor, Clugstons Construction, our finished solar PV system will generate the college around 25,000kWh’s per year in free electricity, saving them around £3,000 per year as well as saving around 12 tonnes of C02 per year.

SOAR Community Building, Sheffield

80kWp Commercial solar PV system
Homeco Energy recently developed this 80kW solar PV system for the SOAR community group in Parson Cross, Sheffield. Generating around 65,000kWh’s of electricity per year this system benefits all of the building’s resident small businesses and community groups. It is expected to save around 555 tonnes of C02 over the next twenty years.

30kWp flat roof solar PV array
Homeco Energy was tasked with carrying out 8 installations for the SYHA group in 2015. One of those was this 30kW solar PV array fitted to their city centre head office in Sheffield. 
Utilising SunEdison 285 watt solar modules, this system came with an industry leading 25 year panel warranty. Our non penetrative flat roof mounting system from K2, is designed to not penetrate the roof structure in any way whilst meeting all relevant wind loadings for the site, ensuring that it is firmly and securely fitted to the roof surface.
Generating around 25,000kWh’s of electricity per year, with 0% export, this system saves SYHA around £3,000 per year in electricity whilst earning it a further £3,000 per year in Feed in Tariff payments.

North Lincolnshire Council, Scunthorpe

25kWp Commercial New Build
A 25kW Flat Roof Commercial Solar Installation for North Lincolnshire Council as part of their new build project in Scunthorpe. Working in conjunction with the main contractor, this Sunpower solar PV installation comes with a full 25 year panel warranty. Generating around 20,000kWh’s of solar electricity per year this system will save around £3,000 per year whilst saving 9 tonnes of C02 per year.

A 30kW and a 80kW Commercial Solar PV installation as part of a new build commercial project in Sheffield

Forming part of the new Bessemer Park industrial estate on Shepcote Lane, Sheffield these tow commercial solar arrays installed by Homeco Energy will generate around 86,000kWh’s of generated solar electricity per year, saving around 37 tonnes every twelve months and around 739 tonnes over the next 20 years.

255kWp Commercial Solar Installation to an existing business property in Retford, Nottinghamshire

As a high electricity user, this business owner in Retford asked Homeco Energy to help install this commercial solar PV array to his existing business property. This system will generate around 210,000kWh’s of solar generated electricity per year, saving this business around £30,000 in electricity costs in year one and around 90 tonnes of C02. Based on the next 20 years and including no electricity prices rises this system will save around £600,000 off the business running costs whilst saving 1,800 tonnes of C02. With an estimated 5 year payback period, this business owner has looked to make his available roof top work for him and his business.

20kWp Flat Roof Commercial New Build Solar PV Installation
Utilising a low profile, Van Der Valk ballasted flat roof solar mounting system, this commercial solar PV array will generate around 16,500kWh’s of solar generated electricity each year. Whilst saving the university around £2,400 per year in electricity it will also save around 7 tonnes of C02 per year, totalling around 140 tonnes over the next 20 years.
