Choose from zappi's three charging modes

Life often throws us some curveballs, so knowing that you can tailor your EV charging to suit your lifestyle is a huge bonus. Zappi comes with 3 charge modes:

Eco

This mode is a mixture of both green energy and energy imported from the grid. eco mode minimises the use of grid power and can charge using 100% green energy. The charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power being used elsewhere in the home. If the surplus generation drops below 1.4kw some power will be drawn from the grid to top it back up.

Eco+

Charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. If there comes a point whereby there Zappi is using too much-imported power, electric car charging will pause, and will continue only when there is surplus green/free energy available.

Fast

In this mode, the vehicle will be charged at maximum power. This power can come from a renewable energy source or directly from the grid.

What are Zappi's other benefits?

Zappi lets you set timers

There are a number of ‘time of use energy tariffs’ on the market, and when on one of these tariff, energy is significantly cheaper at non-peak times. With Zappi, you can use the ‘boost’ option to charge your vehicle at these times, saving you money on running your EV.

There's no earth rod

Zappi is one of the only electric car chargers with built-in PEN fault technology. It’s one of the safest choices for an electric car charger. This technology eliminates the need to install additional earth rods, and therefore means an easier and cheaper installation.

Green PV charging

Zappi works in harmony with your Solar PV or wind generation, meaning you can charge your car using up-to 100% green energy - that's 100% free energy, too. Not got a renewable energy source at home? No problem, Zappi works just like any other charger in ‘fast mode’.

Pin code protected
